Mission
Tinkerlab is a hub for celebrating child-directed projects that value process over product. The experiences and ideas shared on this site honor the child’s desire to learn, experiment, and step forward with confidence.
We call our “lab” the art table, but in your home it could be the design center, atelier, science area, kitchen table, or play space. It’s primarily in this space that our big thinking takes place: we build, paint, experiment, talk, tinker, and eat. If you don’t already have a lab area designated for creating, I’d encourage you to consider it. By making “creating” a fixture in your home, you’ll give your child permission to invent on a whim.
In 2012, Tinkerlab was named most awesome local blog by Red Tricycle and in 2011 we were included in the top 25 Creative Mom Blogs by Circle of Moms.

I have two girls, age 3 and 8.We love making things and are always looking for something to make at home. So I am so happy to reach this website. I was so excited to read about every single activity. I am also amazed at their creative ideas.
Thank you so much.
