Rachelle is on a mission to help families connect through art and creativity. 

It all started with her parents, who encouraged her to create with a closet full of hand-me-down costumes, art books, and a recycling bin that inspired endless inventions. Since those early days of making, Rachelle has been inspired by mentors, teachers, and colleagues who shared her love to process-forward, open-ended making. She’s been an arts educator for over 20 years in schools, museums, and the TinkerLab art studio.

Today, Rachelle is a Stanford lecturer, resident fellow in Stanford’s Design Dorm, author of several creativity books, and Artist-in-Residence in the Cubberley Artist Studio Program. Rachelle holds a BA in theater from UCLA and an EdM in Education from Harvard. She’s momma to two (plus one fur baby) and works out of a magical studio filled with old books, shelves of paint, and sharp pencils.
