What is The Art Habit Mail Club?
A monthly art mail subscription that offers delight and surprise, and helps you build a creative practice. Each envelope includes cards you can mix and match, creative assignments, materials to play with, and a reminder that making messy art matters more than making perfect art.
Who is this for?
People who want to make more art, love art, or who want to create but freeze when faced with a blank page. If you overthink, second-guess, or think you’re “not creative,” this is for you.
Do I need art experience?
Nope! Not even a little bit. This is designed for all levels, including complete beginners.
How do the prompt cards work?
Each month, you’ll receive 3 new art prompt cards with constraints like “Use only 3 colors” or “Fill the entire page.” You can use one at a time or combine them randomly for more interesting challenges. There’s not a right way to use them.
The prompts build to create a deck. Every month, you get 3 new cards, so by month 12, you’ll have 36 cards with endless combinations. The more months you’re subscribed, the bigger your deck grows and the more combinations you have.Â
When will I get my first envelope?
Envelopes ship around the first of each month. US members should receive envelopes within 5-10 business days of shipping. International shipping can take 2-3 weeks.Â
The post can be finicky. If your envelope hasn’t arrived in 3 weeks, email us at support@tinkerlab.com
Sign-up deadline
Join by the 15th of the month to receive the next month’s envelope. If you sign up after the 15th, your first envelope will ship the following month.
(Example: Sign up January 16th → your first envelope ships in early March)
Tracking
We don’t track envelopes because it would double your subscription cost.Â
If your envelope doesn’t arrive within 3 weeks of the ship date, email me at support@tinkerlab.com. We’ll either resend it or refund that month. Simple as that.
How do I cancel or change my address?
Click the link in your order confirmation email to manage everything yourself, or email us at support@tinkerlab.com, and we’ll take care of it for you.
Make sure to email us before the 5th of the month so we can update your address before sending!
Can I share what I make?
Yes! We’d love to see it. Tag us on Instagram @tinkerlab or email photos to support@tinkerlab.com
What’s your refund policy?
If your first envelope doesn’t spark something, email us within 30 days of placing your order, and we’ll refund your payment.
What’s your privacy policy?
We only use your email and address to send you envelopes and occasional updates. That’s it.
Do you ship outside the US?
Yes! Be sure to click international shipping at checkout. The cost is slightly higher due to international shipping rates.
