Famous Inspiring Painting Quotes

Quotes can uplift us, inspire, and send is in a new direction with just a few simple words of wisdom. As an artist I often look to professional artists for tidbits of inspiration to help me get over a hump or work through a block.

These are a few of my favorite painting quotes from some of my favorite artists through the ages. Feel free to borrow these images to share. If you happen to post to Instagram, tag me on Insta at TinkerLab.

  4. Beautiful article, I really enjoyed it. I once went to a Guggenheim exhibit where in a room there were exposed a series of horse halters hanging on the wall. They told me it was a famous creation, but onestly, I really don’t get the point on that kind of creations. I think I am quite traditional in defining what art is to me.

  5. This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose. panting artist

Cooking is like painting or writing a song. Pop Art looks out into the world. Painting is silent poetry, and poetry is painting that speaks.
