Landscape collage fall craft for kids

Autumn has arrived and we’re dreaming in reds, oranges, yellows, and browns. Help your child get into the spirit of the season with this simple open-ended collage activity and fall collage landscape craft for kids.

Supplies: Landscape Fall Craft for Kids

• Paper scraps in fall colors
• Scissors
• Glue in jar, with brush
• Watercolor paper
• Watercolors
• Brush for paint
• Water jar
• Oil pastels or markers

Prep: Decorate papers

Make patterned paper: Draw all over brown paper (from grocery bags) with oil pastels in fall colors

Stamp all over a piece of construction paper with a Do-a-dot maker.

Prompt: Invite your child to create

To help spark your child’s curiosity, you could say something like: “Let’s use these paper shapes to make a fall landscape with hills and pumpkins, or something else from your imagination.”

Steps: How to make a Fall Landscape Craft with Kids

1. Cut and arrange the landscape pieces. These can be layered to remind you of hills.
2. Glue the pieces down.
3. Paint in the sky.
4. Add oil pastel stars (or clouds and sun).
5. Glue down your pumpkins.
6. Add oil pastel details.
